Biography
Paul Rohleder studied Sustainable Social Policy at the University of Applied Sciences Bonn-Rhein-Sieg. In his bachelor’s thesis, he analysed the possible economic and security policy implications of a renewed expansive arms race between NATO and Russia, which threatens to emerge as a result of the war in Ukraine. His thesis was awarded a sponsorship prize by the university in 2023. Since October 2023, he has been studying International Relations and Development Policy at the University of Duisburg-Essen. At bicc, he is a team member of the project "Security, armaments and development in recipient countries of German arms exports". There, he supports the country reports and the database for the evaluation of various countries according to the eight EU export criteria for military equipment as well as the Global Militarisation Index.
