Marianne Wargenau

Biography

Marianne Wargenau graduated with a Diplom (equivalent to an MA) in Geography from Bonn University, Germany in 2013, with a focus on earth observation and large-scale land investments. Marianne joined BICC in 2011 as a Student Assistant and worked for five years on Data and Geographic Information Systems. During that time, she contributed to projects in the context of applied conflict and security research as well as to projects related to natural resources and conflicts, building on expertise in database development, geographic information systems and remote sensing applications. In addition to that, she has been responsible for the development and implementation of infographics and maps for print and web. Since January 2017 she is covering the position of Grants Manager.
