Christine holds a BA in Political Science and Rhetoric from the University of Tübingen and an MA in Peace and Conflict Research from the University of Frankfurt. She spent semesters abroad at the Universities of Coimbra (Portugal) and Uppsala (Sweden).
Research profile
- At BICC, Christine’s research deals with the nexus between natural resources and conflict. She mainly approaches the issue from a local-level perspective and has recently conducted field research in the oil-extraction areas of South Sudan’s Upper Nile State. During her studies, Christine focused on the causes of civil war, on post-conflict peace processes, and on hydropolitics in transboundary water basins.
