Boia Efraime Junior

Biography

Boia Efraime has an MA in Clinical Psychology and a PhD in Philosophy. Boia Efraime Junior worked as Psychotherapist (Child Soldiers Rehabilitation Project of the NGO Rebuilding Hope in Maputo) from 1994 to 2002. From 1994 to 1998, he was Associated Director of UBS Optimus Foundation in Zurich. From 1999 to 2011, he was Professor for Clinical Psychology and Psychotraumatology at the Universidade Pedagogica in Maputo. In 2003, Boia Efraime was a Ford Foundation Research Fellow at BICC and after that he became BICC’ss Associated Researcher. In 2008, he became also CEO of the NGO “Rebuilding Hope in Maputo. He became President of the Board of Directors (Association of Psychology of Mozambique, Maputo) in 2010. Since 2011, he is UN Certified Stress Counselor.
