2019 Dr rer. pol. University of Bremen (BIGSSS Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences) 2009 MA in Political Science and International Relations, Boğaziçi University Istanbul Alina completed her MA degree at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, Turkey, focusing on German call centres in Istanbul. Her PhD research centred on persons who grew up in Germany with Turkish parents but later decided to migrate to Istanbul. During her PhD, she was based at the Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences (BIGSSS) but conducted her field work in Istanbul. She has taught qualitative research methods at Bremen University.
