Base closure and redevelopment in Central and Eastern Europe

Abstract

This report surveys the base redevelopment efforts currently underway in Central and Eastern Europe. The first chapter provides an overview of the issue for most of the major countries in the region, and compares the processes within the different countries. The second and third chapters provide more detailed case studies of Estonia and Poland – two countries leading the region in base redevelopment efforts.
